The term bibim means "mixing" and bap is “cooked rice”. It is served as a bowl of warm rice topped with namul (various vegetables) and gochujang (chili pepper paste). Egg and sliced meat are common additions. You would stir and mix all of these thoroughly just before eating. Bibimbap is an extensively customizable food with a variety of ingredients that can be used in its creation. It has existed in Korea for centuries and even has a place in society today. In the late 20th century, bibimbap started to become widespread in many countries in the West, due to its simplicity, affordability, and delicious taste. Many airlines connecting to South Korea via Incheon International Airport have begun to serve it, and it has been accepted more globally as a popular Korean dish. You will learn the brief history and cultural background before making your own creation of Bibimbap.

Nanoom Korean Cooking Class Waiver and Release of Liability: In consideration of being allowed to participate in a cooking class hosted by Nanoom Korean Cooking Class, I hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all claims for damages, personal injury, death, or property damage that may arise as a result of my participation in this activity. This release is intended to discharge Nanoom Korean Cooking Class, its staff (whether contracted or employed), and any other associated parties from any liability related to my participation. I understand that the activity I am participating in may involve physical or strenuous activities, and that accidents or injuries may occasionally occur. Despite the inherent risks involved, I voluntarily choose to participate and accept full responsibility for any injury, illness, or damage that may occur. I further agree to hold harmless and release Nanoom Korean Cooking Class, Jima Institute, and its staff from any claims arising from my participation in the cooking class. I also understand that this waiver and release applies to my heirs, assigns, and legal representatives. By registering for classes or events, I confirm that I have carefully read and fully understand the contents of this Hold Harmless Agreement, Waiver, and Release. I acknowledge that this document serves as a release of liability and a binding contract between myself and Nanoom Korean Cooking Class, including any staff, whether contracted or employed. Cancellation Policy: Classes are non-refundable, however you can request a credit or transfer to a different class up to 7 days prior to class or have someone attend in your place.
